Overview:
In Luxembourg we work with two different banks. Both are Luxembourg branches of other European banks. One is more focused on private banking, being very discreet (it does not even have a website). The other is a commercial bank suitable for international business operations with low fees for international transfers.
Target clients:
Worldwide, but especially Western and Eastern Europe and CIS, and Latin America.
Languages:
English, Russian, French, German, Portuguese, Baltic languages.
Plastic cards:
Visa and MC in EUR.
Documents and Account Opening Process:
- Standard set of documents with apostille, plus proof of address.
- Proof of source of funds.
- Bank reference.
- Director must sign a resolution; where there is a nominee, nominee must sign.
- Remote account opening is possible. Initially, contact us with details of the proposed account. If the bank agree in principle they will send out account opening package by courier that the client will need to sign and return by the same channel. Notarisation requirements vary depending on country where the notarisation takes place.
Deposit requirements:
Flexible, but from EUR 5000 for commercial accounts, with a target minimum balance of EUR 300K for private banking accounts, that may be built up over time.
